This exquisite little hand-carved book is fashioned from beautiful white marble with bands of gray. It is 3.5 x 4.25 x .75 inches. The spine is engraved with Maltese cross emblems & the front is monogrammed - R? D. A fine example of folk art stone carving, likely from the hand of a gravestone carver. Circa late 1800s. Good antique condition with some very small chips (please see all photos).
