Large pale yellow-ground enamel etui with bianco-sopra-bianco decoration heightened in gold leaf. The front has a central vignette depicting Lady Fenhoulet in a Chinoiserie hat. The top and reverse have white-ground vignettes with hand painted polychrome floral depictions. The ornately scrolled copper gilt mount hinges open to reveal its contents: folding fruit knife, folding ruler, snuff spoon, scissors, pencil, bodkin, aide memoire and combined steel tweezers and file.
