Antique Victorian 15Ct Gold Garnet and Seed Pearl Floral Cluster
A beautiful, richly romantic floral cluster ring from the mid-Victorian period, 1850s - 1860s. Capturing the charm of the period it is crafted in a rosey-hued 15Ct gold, set with a vibrant cluster of natural cushion cut Garnets and luminous Seed Pearls.
At its centre is a cushion cut garnet surrounded by four seed pearls and four smaller accent Garnets. The pearls are natural and range in colour from a milky white to iridescent grey and are in lovely condition. All the stones are secure in their settings.
The prong settings around the central stone radiate out in an X shape and look like gold beads, adding a stunning detail to the whole ring. The cluster has a closed back and is mounted on split shoulders with a pretty etched scroll-style detail that is attached to the ring and the shoulders. One of these scrolls is missing its central section.
The shank is straight and the outside is hand chased in a foliate design within a line frame all the way around. A fabulous detail.
