Charming mid-19th century gold, silver and diamond ring featuring a lovely floral design, set against a blue guilloché enamel background. A “giardinette”, “bague au firmament” inspired design from the 19th century, which serves a reminder that 18th century designs continued to inspire designers and jewelers well into the late 19th century. The ring probably had a hidden compartment which is now closed off. French hallmarks (swan & owl), 18kt gold, solid silver, US size 7 (can be slightly modified) and rose cut & chunky old mine cut diamonds. Excellent antique condition.
