A fine Georgian heart-shaped locket framed with flat-cut garnets in closed-back settings. The centre is fitted with a rock crystal compartment, originally intended to hold a lock of hair, miniature, or other keepsake. Hinged on the reverse. This locket is a classic example of sentimental jewellery from the Georgian period.
