An exceptional 18k yellow gold Victorian bracelet designed as a stylised ribbon, one end neatly folded over the other, beautifully engraved with floral motifs and bordered with vivid black and turquoise enamel. Suspended from the front is a circular ring pavé-set with trapezium-cut garnets and accented with rose-cut diamonds in between, secured by a gold safety chain to the other side of the bracelet beneath an ornament with step-cut pink garnets. Bracelets like this, alone or stacked, feature in paintings by Ingres, Winterhalter, Sully, among others.
