1934 King George V Sterling Silver Four Piece Tea and Coffee Set
A solid Sterling silver four piece Tea and Coffee set complete with milk jug and sugar bowl. It displays with great style and elegance! Created by the London silversmiths Robert Pringle and Sons of Clerkenwell. The set is oval shaped, has beautiful ribbed fluting draped on its lower sections. The Tea and Coffee pots have black ebonised Art Deco style handles whilst the sugar bowl and milk jug have silver handles. It has no monograms or engravings. Clearly hallmarked with the London Assay, makers mark and the Jubilee date mark of King George V on each piece. The Coffee pot has the date letter for 1934 whilst the other three items have the date letter for 1935. The inside lids of the tea and coffee pots also have clear hallmarking. The set is original to itself and was originally purchased as a complete set, albeit the black lid handle on the coffee pot has slightly different detailing, perhaps a replacement, and has a ribbed base.
