She is wearing a matching blue ribbon around her neck, tied at the back in a bow. He is wearing a white coat with blue waiscoat with gold braiding and buttons and a white frilled chemise. He has unpowdered hair tied en queue. Watercolour on ivory signed by Gustavas Hamilton, she dated 1767 and he 1768. The pair are housed in their original gold bracelet frames with reeded border.
