Antique Sterling Silver Celtic Design Milk Jug and Sugar Bowl.
This antique set of milk jug and sugar bowl were crafted in Sterling silver in the year 1917.
An iconic design, the pair were created by the silversmith Charles Weale of Hockley Street, Birmingham. They each feature a border of Celtic knotwork and mythical beasts around their upper central section. With beautiful scrolled handles and round flat bases.

Hallmarks:
Makers mark CW, Birmingham Sterling Silver assay mark the Anchor, Lion passant and date letter S for 1917.
Condition:
The pair have been well loved and well used over their 107 years. Both have surface scratches and some minor tarnishing spots. The sugar bowl has some dings and small dents in its base and a couple of small dings on its lip showing signs that sugar tongs have been used.
